HLT07 Introduction
After two years of extensive stakeholder consultation and review, the new Health Training Package is completely updated and relevant to current industry needs.

Training Packages developed and maintained by the Community Services and Health Industry Skills Council (ISC) specify the national vocational qualifications and competencies of the Community Services and Health workforce. This provides a national training framework for skills development in our industries. The Health Training Package is the Vocational Education and Training Sector (VET) framework for nationally recognised training in the health industry.

About HLT07
With 86 qualifications and more than 1,000 units of competency, the Health Training Package sets the standards for practical staff and skill development for health work including:
  1. Ambulance
  2. Enrolled Nurse/Registered Nurse Division 2
  3. Allied Health Assistance
  4. Sterilisation Services
  5. Health Support Services (such as Administration Support, Hospital Assistant, Support Services Worker)
  6. Anaesthetic and other Technician work
  7. Optical Dispensing
  8. Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health Worker
  9. Massage Therapist
  10. Aromatherapist

  1. HLT21107 Certificate II in Emergency Medical Service First Response
  2. HLT33107 Certificate III in Basic Health Care
  3. HLT30207 Certificate III in Non-Emergency Client Transport
  4. HLT31907 Certificate III in Ambulance Communications (Call-taking)
  5. HLT41107 Certificate IV in Ambulance Communications
  6. HLT41007 Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance)
  7. HLT50407 Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance)
  8. HLT60307 Advanced Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance)
